Product Description

Impregnated Extruded Activated Carbon for Acid Gas Removal

Product Introduction

Impregnated Extruded Activated Carbon is a specialized pelletized activated carbon formulated for the adsorption and removal of acidic gases such as SO₂, H₂S, HF, HCl, and NOₓ.
Through chemical impregnation with alkaline or catalytic agents, it enables both physical adsorption and chemical reaction, ensuring high efficiency even under low concentration and high humidity conditions.

Produced from high-quality coal-based activated carbon and precisely impregnated with active compounds, this material offers excellent acid gas removal efficiency, high mechanical strength, and long operational life.
It is widely used in waste gas treatment, odor control, industrial exhaust purification, and emergency gas scrubbing systems.

 Specification  Value
 Mean Particle Diameter, mm  4.0
SO₂ Removal Efficiency, %  95 (min)
 BET Surface Area, ㎡/g  800-1000
H₂S Removal Efficiency, %  90 (min)
 Moisture, %  5 (max)
 Bulk Density, kg/m³  500-600
 Hardness, %  95 (min)

Note: Specifications may vary slightly depending on impregnation type (alkali, permanganate, or copper-based) and process conditions.

Features

  • High Acid Gas Removal Efficiency: Effective against SO₂, H₂S, HF, HCl, and other corrosive gases through adsorption and neutralization.

  • Chemical Impregnation Technology: Active alkaline or metal compounds enhance reactivity and extend adsorption capacity.

  • Excellent Mechanical Strength: Uniform pellets resist attrition and ensure stable airflow in packed beds or filter modules.

  • Low Dust & Stable Structure: High hardness minimizes carbon loss and prevents pressure drop in continuous operation.

  • Custom Formulations Available: Impregnation types (NaOH, KOH, CuO, KMnO₄, etc.) can be tailored for specific contaminants.

Applications

  • Industrial Exhaust Treatment: Removal of SO₂, HCl, and HF from chemical, semiconductor, and metal finishing processes.

  • Odor Control Systems: Effective for H₂S and mercaptan removal in wastewater treatment and biogas facilities.

  • Emergency Gas Scrubbing: Used in safety ventilation systems for chemical storage and laboratory environments.

  • Air Purification Units: Applied in filters, cartridges, and fixed-bed systems for corrosion and odor control.

Manufacturing Process

  • High-Quality Activated Carbon Base: Coal-based extruded carbon with controlled pore structure.

  • Chemical Impregnation: Soaked and impregnated with reactive agents to enhance removal of acidic gases.

  • Drying & Stabilization: Low-temperature drying preserves activity while ensuring uniform chemical distribution.

  • Quality Testing: Each batch is tested for SO₂/H₂S efficiency, hardness, and moisture to ensure reliable performance.

Packaging Options

  • 25 kg Bags: Moisture-proof multi-layer kraft paper bags with PE inner liner.

  • 500 kg Jumbo Bags: Suitable for large-scale gas treatment systems.

  • Customized Packaging: Available to meet specific equipment or project requirements.
